“The Rites of Summer” to Be Published in The Masters Review

Several weeks ago, I received word that several of my short stories had been shortlisted for publication in the 2012 edition of The Masters Review, a publication that seeks to print the best work by students currently enrolled in graduate programs in writing. Today, I learned that one of those short stories, “The Rites of Summer,” has been selected as one of the ten finalists for publication!

As this is my first fiction publication credit, I’m incredibly excited and honored to have had my work chosen. Congratulations to all those whose stories will appear in the forthcoming issue!

If you’re interested in reading the story — or supporting The Masters Review in their commitment to publication — please consider pre-ordering a copy of the 2012 edition. And if you’ll be a graduate student in writing in the upcoming school year, keep an eye out for their next call for submissions, which will re-open on August 31, 2012.
